Musset sign

Today doctor told us interesting story about one sign of Aortic regurge which is de Musset's sign. It is a condition in which there is rhythmic nodding or bobbing of the head in synchrony with the beating of the heart. The condition was named after the French Romantic poet and playwright Alfred de Musset.

Doctor said that at that time peoples  realised he always nodding his head but they thought that was because he was soo loss deeply in his poet and music. So,they don't care but then when he died in his sleep in Paris on 2 May 1857 and the cause was heart failure due to combination of alcoholism and a longstanding aortic insufficiency peoples started to make research about this sign and they found that nodding of head one of common sign to occur in patient with aortic regurge. For the rememberance of Alfred de Musset they named this head nodding as Musset sign.

So,people please be alert.Maybe this can happen to the people u knew and when you see he/she always had head nodding just try to go to hospital and make a medical check up before it's too late. But,make sure this "head nodding peoples" got enough sleep at night because it will be too funny if u see they were head nodding in the class just because they were too sleepy and u assume that they had a serious heart condition..=p
